1. Information We Collect
1.1. Usage & Technical Information
We may collect certain technical and usage data, such as:
- Device information (model, operating system, language, time zone)
- App version and installation source
- IP address and general location (country/city level)
- Session data, in-app events and performance metrics
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs
1.2. Subscription & Transaction Data
All payments and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store full payment card details.
We may receive limited information from the store, such as:
- Subscription type (Weekly / Monthly / Yearly)
- Subscription status (active, expired, refunded)
- Country, store region, and currency information
1.3. Virtual Number & SMS Data
Wanumo provides temporary virtual numbers via telecom partners. To operate the Service, we may process:
- Assigned temporary virtual phone number
- Country and carrier of the number
- Incoming SMS metadata (timestamp, destination number, associated service)
Important:

Wanumo temporarily processes the content of one-time verification codes (OTP/SMS) solely in order to display them to you inside the App.
- OTP content is not stored permanently.
- OTP content is not analyzed, profiled, or used for advertising.
- OTP content is not shared with third parties other than the technical SMS delivery partner strictly necessary for receiving the message.
- OTP messages are automatically deleted in accordance with our limited retention rules shortly after delivery.
Wanumo does not read, access, or store any personal SMS conversations or message content that is not directly related to OTP verification.
1.4. Contact Information
We generally do not require you to create an account with personal details. However, if you choose to contact us (for example, via email or in-app support), we may collect:
- Your email address
- Support messages and attachments you send us
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the virtual number Service
- To deliver SMS verification codes to your selected virtual number
- To maintain, secure and optimize the performance of the app
- To prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the Service
- To handle subscriptions, billing, and restore purchases
- To comply with legal obligations and law enforcement requests where required
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
If you are located in the EEA, UK or similar jurisdictions, we process your data based on:

- Other licensed telecom carriers, depending on country availability

Used to understand performance, app stability, and usage patterns in order to improve the Service. These tools may receive technical identifiers, app usage events, and crash information, but not the content of your OTP messages.

For subscription validation, billing, and purchase restoration.

When required by applicable law and with valid legal process.

Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
All partners are expected to follow strong security practices and comply with applicable data protection regulations.
5. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located in different countries, including countries outside of your own jurisdiction (for example, Turkey or other regions where our providers operate). These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country.
Where required, we take appropriate safeguards to protect your data across borders, such as:

- Temporary SMS codes (OTP): stored only briefly to display them, then deleted

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, limited access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Wanumo is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.

Wanumo is an independent application and is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, Signal, WeChat, or any other third-party platform. All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Wanumo does not encourage fraud or illegal activity. Wanumo provides virtual numbers only for legitimate and lawful purposes.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the latest revision.
If we make material changes, we may notify you within the App or through other appropriate channels, in addition to updating this page.
